Training Dates
Below are tentative training dates
Gasing Trail
Our very first training will be on the Saturday, 15 Jan 2011. The training location is Bukit Gasing, at 8:30 am. There are a number of entrances to the park, we will meet and enter via the playgorund entrance (G). It is just a few meters away from the main entrance to the park (A).
It is going to be a relatively light trek, and if you are already fit, it should be a breeze and you can expect to complete the entire trail in about 1hr 15 min.
From the map above, we will be using the trail that leads to the suspension bridge in Gasing, via the shortest trail from point G to Point F. That means you will be keeping to the left hand side trail, as much as possible.
From point F to point H, it is very flat, and at point (H), take the right handside trail, and make a clockwise loop and return to point (H) again.
As for clothing for this training, wear something comfortable, and bring a small bottle of mineral water.
For those looking for gears, especially hiking shoes, you are sploit for choices. I would recommend the following:-
New Balance Trail shoes - functional, no frills and affordable
Columbia - can get good discounts now at World of Sports outlets, MidValley, Bangsar Village, Sogo, Subang Parade. Goh Boon Kian, one of our team member even managed to get a pair of columbia hiking shoes for his son at 70% discount !!
